GHG History
'Excellence is a quality perfectly honed by time'Quote by Mr D K Gaur The GHG roots are exactly the same as any tree, when you see a tree it may stand 100 meters tall but the roots are three times deeper at 300 meters deep, that is the only way it will stand the tests of time. Buildings are made exactly the same way, the bigger and stronger the building the stronger and deeper the roots. The GHG has deep roots and deeper foundations that have been built brick by brick with blood, sweat and hard work and at every step of the way there has been love in our (Mr & Mrs D K Gaur) hearts and always happiness and smiles for everyone, especially ourselves because it always came from a deep sense of joy and achievement.
We started with the Heathrow Osteopathic Clinic which was opened in 1993. It became part of the GHG in the year 2002 in Hillingdon, Middlesex, United Kingdom where the main clinic and head office now operate. During our many years in operation, the GHG has gained vast experience in many aspects of patient treatment, from orthopaedics and cranial work to pregnancy, trauma, depression and sports injuries. You name it, we've seen it and treated it very successfully at the GHG. Foremost our history has been focused on building our outstanding reputation with our vast loyal patient base which now spans the whole globe. The success of the GHG has been built strongly by word of mouth, we have let our work, our success stories and loyal patients do their GHG advertising for us.
GHG Philosophy
'Amazing healthcare with organisational excellence'. Quote by Mr D K Gaur The GHG is on a mission to change the face of healthcare all over the world. Whenever a patient makes an appointment at a GHG clinic or medical institution they will experience healthcare at a level not known before. You are not and never will be just a number on our files, all patients are important and the welfare of their health is our responsibility. When a patient books into a GHG clinic or medical institution they will get to taste the GHG experience, from the first phone call, to the moment they leave the clinic after the first appointment, to when they are discharged, the experience is one of sheer welcome, warmth, pleasure, peace and above all patients are made to feel like a member of the GHG. Every aspect of the patients experience with us must be full of happiness. Every patient must be handled with loving care; every one of their needs must be attended to and at all times they must be made to feel very welcome. We have developed a motto which summaries how the GHG feels about all its patients
Your Life, Your Health, Our Passion, Our LoveTM Every patient is important, every patients health is important as are every patients feelings. Whenever a patient hears the words 'The GHG' they must feel as if they are about to receive a big hug. The GHG is going to wraps its big arms around them and take care of them. From then on, there is only one road the patient can travel up, the road to good health and recovery.
The welfare of our patients and the giving of excellent healthcare is the only focus the GHG has and will ever have. Our patients are our family, who look to us to help them and it is our duty to do that in the best possible way we know - The GHG way.
GHG Indentity
'The Standard bearer for quality, service and healthcare' Quote by Mr D K Gaur It has been said that necessity is the father of invention. When inventing an identity, consideration has to be given as to what you feel may be needed. At the GHG our identity was created out of the need for better service, quality and organisation rather than a need to invent something. So, you can say that at the GHG we were shaped by the necessity to provide and serve the public with more than they were used to or expected by them and thus an identity was born.
In honesty, the blueprint was already there in the service that was in existence when Mr Gaur began the GHG, it was then added to with the input of Mrs Reena Gaur and taken to vastly improved levels of organisation and patient management, and through all of this the identity of the GHG has evolved.
All of the best qualities of the original ethos have remained, there have been additions and there have been evolutions of certain ideas and theories, what is certain to stay however is the ethos of forever being flexible and forward thinking, of being able to see what is working really well and what needs to be evolved or expanded. Either way it creates an identity that has strong roots in its original ethos but has the ability to grow and evolve with the changing times.
We are all together living on this beautiful planet, we are all deserving of love, respect, patience, concern and high quality guidance and healthcare. We believe that we should treat you the same way we would like to be treated ourselves. In a position of great vulnerability you the patient needs to be welcomed, not made to feel like a burden, you need to be understood, not ignored and you need to be guided, not mistreated.
Our identity is an association of many things, our logo, our ethics, our history, our roots, our beginnings and very importantly our future, because we need to know where we are going and why we are creating it. It is important for us all as patients and service providers to associate with the highest quality possible and this is why an identity is invaluable and essential so that we all know what we stand for.
'Half the healing is done when the patient is enveloped in sincere customer care and trust that the organisation will stand the test of time' Quote by Mr D K Gaur
GHG Present
'Being PRESENT is the essence and enjoyment of life, and by default becomes your future' Quote by Mr D K Gaur As a direct result of our history the GHG is experiencing the following phenomenon, when a patient books an appointment we are finding that they have come across other people who have either been to a GHG clinic or medical institution or have heard about our outstanding reputation and these people have nothing to do with each other i.e. they are all from different walks of that persons life i.e. family, work and social.
This means that there is a criss-crossing pattern with the word of mouth happening which is exactly the same as you get with very, very deep tree roots. As far as we at the GHG are concerned, it gives us joy to hear that our good work is being appreciated and it is with great pleasure that we watch our patients become more and more overwhelmed at their excellent decision to come to the GHG which is also encouraged more and more by the people around them. Thus our experience shows us that our patients happily bring their whole family and their whole community to the GHG. They all become loyal patients and value and embrace us looking after and being responsible for their healthcare. There is a lot of history being written about the GHG and we assure you by the time we have finished we will have changed patient healthcare to a significant degree around the world.
GHG Logo
'We are all entwined under the umbrella of existence' Quote by Mr D K Gaur Welcome to this very important section about the philosophies behind our brand name and logo and the thinking and ethos in developing the Gaur Health Group brand and its place in the world.
We are sure that you will become as excited as we are about our brand image, logo and company direction as well as what we represent in our philosophies on health care, general world trade and customer service.
In re-designing our logo for national and international purposes we required a recognisable symbol which would be medically orientated and internationally known with a long and ancient history and substance associated with it. Hence, the design of the caduceus or the â'staff of Hermes' was chosen as the back drop, cementing its association with the Gaur Health Group. The double entwined snakes around the staff of Hermes is a well recognised symbol of medical intent. It is also well known to represent trade and business, this double powerful symbol fully represents the Gaur Health Group philosophy
'amazing healthcare with organisational excellence' in business and we conduct ourselves as such.
As is popular knowledge, the Gaur Health Group or GHG is a buzz word for the highest quality and service in medicine and general trade. Hence the depiction of the Gaur Health Group as GHG was inevitably going to be the choice for the frontispiece of the logo as it is already recognised all over for its positive associations. The colour royal blue was chosen for clarity, prestige, stability and substance.
When seeing the GHG symbol the public is assured of quality in dealing with that business or clinic.
The 'Golden Staff of Hermes' or caduceus is the international symbol of medicine and depicts how our roots are firmly entrenched in the medical tradition and have grown from there. Hermes staff is golden and will always be depicted in the colour gold.
Who is Hermes?
The Following Section Is Taken From The Internet Sight Called - Wikipedia Hermes is the son of Zeus and Maia. Zeus is the master of the gods and the 'father of men' in greek mythology. Hermes or Hermes Trismegistus (three times great) is the messenger of the gods, protector and bringer of good luck. He is the alleged teacher of the magical system known as Hermeticism of which high magic and alchemy are thought to be twin branches. The name Trismegistus means thrice greatest Hermes, and is the title given by the greeks to the Egyptian god Thoth or Tehuti, a lord of wisdom and learning.
At one time the greeks thought the two gods inseparable. Thoth governed over mystical wisdom, magic, writing and other disciplines and was associated with healing, while Hermes was the personification of universal wisdom and the patron of magic.
The myths go further. Both gods are associated with sacred writings. As scribed for the gods, Thoth was credited with all the scared books. In various Egyptian writings he is called 'twice very great' and 'five times very great'. Hermes is credited with writing 20,000 books by Iamblichus (ca 250-300 BC), a Neo-platonic Syrian philosopher, and over 36,000 books by Manetho (ca 300 BC), an Egyptian priest who wrote the history of Egypt in greek, perhaps for Ptolemy I.
The combined myths of these gods report that both Thoth and Hermes revealed to human kind the healing arts, magic, writing, astrology, science and philosophy. Thoth wrote the record of the weighing of the souls in the Judgement Hall of Osiris. Hermes led the souls of the dead to Hedes.
The English occultist Frances Barrett in Biographia Antiqua wrote that Hermes 'communicated the sum of the Abyss, and devine knowledge to all prosterity'.
According to legend Hermes Trismegistus is said to have provided the wisdom of light in the ancient mysteries of Egypt. 'He carried an emerald, upon which was recorded all of philosophy, and the caduceus, the symbol of spiritual illumination. Hermes Trismegistus vanquished Typhon, the dragon of ignorance and mental, moral and physical perversion.'
Surviving Hermes Trismegistus is the wisdom of the Hermetica.
GHG Founder
'Passion for life, Passion for health, Passion for the future' Quote by Mr D K Gaur The founder of the GHG, its ethics and philosophies is Mr D K Gaur, a doctor of osteopathic medicine. Mr Gaur graduated from the British School of Osteopathy based in central London. Over many years Mr Gaur has gained vast knowledge and experience dealing with many aspects of patient care. Today his vast loyal patient base spans the entire globe from new born babies to the more mature members of our society. Mr Gaur started his experience providing osteopathy care for senile dementia patients at St Bernard's Hospital and then went on to successfully run an expectant mothers clinic. Mr Gaur has treated a huge number of patients from all backgrounds and cultures across the United Kingdom from Liverpool and Manchester to East London and West London establishing a first class reputation for himself. Every aspect of the GHG is cemented with the beliefs Mr Gaur holds about patient healthcare and we will always endeavour to uphold these beliefs as these beliefs are what our foundations are built on.
'I believe, in the act of healing. I believe that the act of healing is vast. It encapsulates physical acts of healing, actions of healing, words of healing, a smile, a touch, a hug, warmth, intention and most of all love. I know that I do not stand alone in these beliefs, many people have come and gone from this earth over time proferring these same sentiments, many among you also believe in these sentiments. The difference is whether the message gets heard or not. We are unique at the Gaur Health Group clinics for the WHOLE PACKAGE, we have these heartfelt loving philosophies in our core intentions for our patients, at the same time the quality, service and organisation around this core is volcanic in its energy, we believe that what we offer should be felt around the world and should touch as many people as possible. Healing cannot be done for healings sake; it should be done with the intention of having a ripple effect on the surroundings of the individual and for the sake of peace around the world. If we send one person into the world who was once in pain and is now in peace they will touch or inspire at least five people with their new found joy. And the only way this can be done is by reaching to as many people as possible. Hence our practitioners and administrative staff are the highest quality available and our business ideal is organised with the highest standards of ethics and momentum. We at the GHG are adamant about our beliefs and believe further that we can affect and influence the world in the most positive way possible. With the many years I have spent in practical research with my patients and in personal research in my spare time I believe that I influence and proceed to bring the best out of all GHG staff, practitioners with their treatments and administrative staff with their customer care, service and organisation'
Mr Gaur is continually researching and has put many of the results into practice in helping cases that other practitioners had come to dead ends with. These philosophies are at the present time in the process of being put down on paper so that they can be known by a wider public.
Mr Gaur avidly advocates healthy living and practices everything he preaches, there is a distinct belief in you are what you eat and you are what you think.
- Eating good quality organic fruits and vegetables and other organic produce.
- Taking top quality supplementary vitamins and minerals.
- Drinking lots of water frequently during the day.
- Taking regular exercise.
- Having good quality and peaceful sleep.
- Breathing correctly through the diaphragm (tummy)
- Having lots of fun, laughter and hugs all day long
- Taking regular treatment from your GHG practitioner
Mr Gaur is an active and avid sports fan playing tennis, table tennis and football. Mr Gaur’s main pursuit is martial arts of which he has been a student and instructor for many years, starting with Karate, Judo, kick boxing and Wing Chun. Mr Gaur also practices YOGA regularly and given that it is the foundation upon which martial arts was founded would make sense as the integrating factor between mind, body and health.
Mr Gaur loves people; he loves his fellow man, woman and child. He loves meeting people and coming into contact with people. No matter how deep the pain, physical or psychological, Mr Gaur never gets phased, he just feels a deep empathy and love and can see the massive potential in that human being to not only get better but to heal and be at peace. Mr Gaur is a big fan of water not only because we are 80% water but also because we can flow like water and adapt to anything and go around anything and even through it. This is how he treats, he finds a way, he adapts, he is flexible. Either with physical treatment or with a kind word or a listening ear or a smile, or even if its sitting in a GHG waiting room or being treated with respect by a member of the GHG staff, there is always a way to feel better.
